  • Broken washing machine

Don't ever buy an LG appliance. I purchased a washer and dryer and refrigerator. Within 6 months the agitator broke off the washing machine. They insisted on fixing it even though it's a poor design. Six months later the same thing happened only this time the drum and outside cabinet are badly dented. Three weeks later this issue is still not resolved and I am without a machine. The customer service is awful. They keep delaying a decision as to what to do about this. The refrigerator had a problem with ice buildup after 6 months. That was fixed and now it's happening again.... More...

  • LG wave force review

Avoid buying the LG Wave Force Wash Machine. I paid 900$ for it about 2 years ago and it is not work $200. All of your white clothes will require pretreatment and soaking with Oxy before washing otherwise you will have ring around the collar and cuffs on shirts, stains on pillow cases, etc. Dingy with tide and bleach. This machine can not handle sheets, comforters or bathroom rungs without being rebalanced by hand for each cycle multiple times. You can never put in a load of clothes and head to the grocer because it needs to be constantly monitored. I hate it! More...

  • LG range

I bought a LG range model LRE 3012ST in 2012. One of the large burners will not turn off and was dangerously overheating. There were hundreds of recalls with this exact problem. LG claims my model is not on their recall list. I had to have the burner disconnected. The curcuit board is gone and LG says they no longer make the part. Why would LG sell a range and stop making the part in 4 years. Even though I registered the purchase on their own site with date of purchase and where it was purchased they wanted a separate proof of purchase. I tried to get Sears to send me a copy of my 2012... I am new to the LG family - having just dropped a pretty penny on a new top load W&D set. Right out of the box there were issues, minor, but none the less. I reached out to customer service and not only did NOT get answers to my problems, but was treated SO rudely I could not believe it. This company could care less about you - just your money. Once they have it, it's like they tell you to "piss off". Their products, after being used for a few months, are NOT as advertised (very noisy, water left in unit, dryer doesn't heat as high as should, etc). If you want... More...

  • Design Flaw wih 60" LG TV Stand

I purchased an LG 60" 1080P SMART Plasma TV (net weight: 77.2 pounds) on Dec 6 2014 for Xmas. I mounted it on the (5 pound) plastic stand provided and used the 3 screws that came with it. There%u2019s a design flaw right there. Mounting a 77.2 pound 60%u201D TV on a 5 pound plastic base held by only 3 screws (Samsung uses 6) which is screwed into an ALL plastic meets plastic base top and bottom, but I digress. Less than 2 1/2 months later at 2 a.m. one night we heard a big crash in the living room. My first thought was that someone had broken into my house. When I went into the... More...

  • LG's terrible customer service - Untrustworthy

%u2022 I purchased an LG front load washer, a LG gas dryer with two matching LG pedestals, purchase price close to $3,000.00 in January 2015 from Home Depot. %u2022 Delivery was scheduled for Feb 7, 2015. Delivery was scheduled for Feb 7,time window (11:30 to 3) confirmed, reconfirmed by email, and again by phone on Feb 7th. It was never received. Contacted LG after conversation with Home Depot - very rude, untruthful customer service from LG - they blamed Home Depot. • Rusty stainless refrigerator doors

Bought a stainless french door LG refrigerator with freezer drawers on the bottom 2 yrs ago. I recently found rust on the edges of the french doors where they are bent around the edge. This is a manufacuring defect. There is no other rust and i only used the approved cleaners. There was no trauma to the area. The punch press must have done this when forming the door. Stainless shouldnt rust. I called corporate and they said " too bad ", its not covered. Poor customer relations...they should replace the doors. • Avoid all LG products at all costs

We saved up to buy a smart tv and were pusuaded to go with LG. At 1200 it was more than we wanted to pay and we did have concerns about the brand, but were assured by the Currys salesman that they had turned things around as a leader in smart TVs. Turns out he couldnt have been more wrong both in quality of product and quality of customer service-both appalling. After 8 months we went to turn onthe tv only to be faced with a black screen.we called 'customer service ' who offered no apology, no offer of exchange or refund and the best they could do was arrange a pick up in 5 days... • LG defective refrigerator

Three years ago, I purchased an LG bottom freezer/french door refrigerator. Since purchase, the liner has had to be replaced on the doors, it tore loose. Then one of the roller wheels supporting the produce drawer broke off and fell into the drawer during use. Then, the glass shelf supporting the main shelf that holds milk and orange juice large containers had the supporting frame crack. Then the door closure gizmo that allows you to open one door cracked off and now both doors open when the refrigerator is used. I tried to communicate with the corporate office early on during this... More...

  • Washing Machine Direct Drive Top loader

I phoned as my washing machine started blowing the whole electricity in the house as soon as I turned it on. I was told someone would call me within 24 hours to organise a repair. I waited patiently and no one called, so I rang back and they informed me that I had not provided the date of purchase (they did not ask me for this) so I give it to them and they said thats fine someone will be out the next day to look at it to see if it can be repaired. I waited until lunch time and I phoned back to enquire , they gave me the number of the technician and I phoned him. And he informed me that... More...

  • LG WT5001CW top loading washer

Bought from Sears and reported within 1st year that washer would not dispense hot water even thought it had a cold, warm, and hot choice on it. Sears sent service techs out 4 times within the 1st 2 years and finally said that washer was working according to specs even though the temperature will not get above 98 degrees and that is considered lukewarm and there is nothing they could do since it is past the 1st year. Hot is considered 120-160 degrees. I have contacted corporate management at LG and they won't do anything because it is past the 1st year of warranty, even though I... More...

  • LG faulty product with the WORST customer service

I have had an LG refrigerator that has been repaired numerous times. The ice maker (repaired three times) comes apart and shards of plastic and screws mix with ice from the ice dispenser. The handle has been broken. Rust stains are all over my freezer door from the leaking ice water dispenser. The metal on the back of the refrigerator was dented and caused the tubing to leak and ruin my wooden cabinet surrounding my refrigerator. I had the relay switch repaired and now I have no water from my water dispenser. LG repairman refused to even take it apart to look at it.My ice maker dispenser... More...

  • LG range, microwave and refrigerator

I purchased a range/double oven, large refrigerator/freezer, and microwave from LG in 2012 via Home Depot. I also purchased an extended five year warranty on all of the appliances. In 2013 the range and refrigerator broke and were fixed in the first year of the warranty. Now in 2014 the same problem has happened with the range. I got the run around from LG trying to get my extended warranty going. The two men in customer service with LG that I called both sent me back to home depot for the extended warranty contacts even though they both knew the number. I am still waiting to be contacted... • LG Electric - smoothtop range

This has to be THE WORST electric range you could ever purchase. It has been a nightmare. We received this as a gift - so returning it after 2 years is not an option. We have had LG out - the amount to fix was outrageious... think before you purchase this: complaints: 1. We have had 3 burns - from the self cleaning cycle. The black top becomes DANGEROUS to touch. My father burned his hand. I burned my finger and a child that we had over burnt the top of index finger. SO DANGEROUS -cant understand why there is not a recall. 2. When you are cooking stovetop - the oven will not turn on.... More...

  • LG repairs on washing machine

I bought a LG washing machine 5years ago and had to have the whole tub assembly replaced 9 months ago at my expense. I am now having the same issue and I am being told that I will have to have the same repairs done at the same cost to me. • LG Fridge Stove Dishwasher

Lousy Garbage is what it stands for. Within 2 years, every plastic piece in the fridge broke. I replace the first piece $150 only to find out the glass didn't fit now. Didn't matter much as it broke in 2 places in a very short time. All crispers cracked and the part that held the drawer in let go. The compressor went and was told it wasn't under warranty due to a power surge. The finish wore off the top of my stove - yup the black wiped right off. the surface wore off where you touch the oven buttons, and a very deep scratch appeared on the flat top (which I did not do) I... • Dryer clean filter message

I have an LG tru steam dryer purchased for over $1,000 11 mths ago. I noticed last week that the clean/reset filter button would come off and the cycle would stop. The internal dryer filter was clean. I called LG and spoke to a person who advised me that a reset could fix the problem. She advised me to unplug the dryer and hold down the start button for five seconds. I did that and it did not fix the problem. On my second call in I got a man who told me that I needed to disc. The dryer hose and vacuum it out before they could send a tech or I would be charged for the visit. I am a 52... More...

  • LG French Door Refrigerator

Bought an LG French door refrigerator. Came back from a funeral (out of town) to find the refrigerator had stopped working...had power but none came into the refrigerator. Called an LG technician and was told it was the control panel. Paid to have that replaced ($350). Three months later came back from vacation (little food in the refrigerator) and the food was freezing up. Called repairman again and had a sensor replaced ($150). Also, was told to replace the gasket since it was torn ($213). A few days later food freezing again. Called and they did come over, but said that it was the... More...

  • dead refrigerator after 1,380 days

On Thursday I noticed the ice maker not functioning properly.By Friday morning condensation on frozen items in freezer which just got worse. Moved unit away from the wall and removed bottom panel to vacuum, a minimal amount of dust on fan which was wiped off. Plugged unit back in and sounded like it was running, but the fan wasn't. By Saturday it died. Looked online and found others with similar problems saying once you call the tech to come fix it they never stop coming. It is just one thing after another. I would have considered this option if I hadn't read one persons... More...

  • Defective product all-in-one washer/dryer combo

I bought a WM3431HW all-in-one washer/dryer combo in February 2010. It is a convenient machine when it works, but it is a lemon with design defects and manufacturing defects now requiring nearly $900 in repairs in the past two years, as noted below. LG should be ashamed for putting out a defective product that requires such extensive repairs in the two years after the one year warranty period expired. I called customer service, and in short they simply say it's my problem. Purchased February 2010 April 2011 - internal dry condensing duct clogged by lint, costing $110 for repairman... More...

  • Warning: avoid LG products, their stocking and after sales repair service is shambolic

I've been embroiled in a 6 month long saga regarding being inappropriately sold the £130 LG Out of Warranty Repair Service to fix a fridge-freezer for which parts were not available (the product is only just over 2 years old). Other lowlights have included 3 failed repair attempts, some due to provision of dented doors by LG. The final nail in the coffin was an engineer who was incapable of carrying out the repair, and when told explicitly to stop, carried on and broke the handles on my fridge freezer. The escalation team at LG would not have helped me if I had not bought the... More...

  • LG doesn't make it warranty parts

Our LG washer is 5 years old. It has been used carefully for a family of four. The front load assembly (rubber gasket) has failed. LG no longer makes the lifetime warranty part. Best Buy who we bought it from has tried to help but doesn't keep records to support our claim. We contacted LG's corporate office and we told "too bad, sorry." To the companies people's credit the regional sales rep told us if we could find the part he'd pay for it. But no part, no replacement part. don't buy LG if you expect their appliances to last longer than 5 years. More...

  • LG Faulty Dishwasher

I wish to make a complaint about our dishwasher. We bought in on 30/10/09. On 9/9/11 the motor was replaced due to worn out bearings (by Northern Electrical Services) under warranty. On 25/1/13 I phoned LG as the dishwasher was making the same noises. I was told there was nothing that could be done until the electrician confirmed it. It was confirmed that day, but I was unable to get through on the phone. Left my number but no-one called back. When I phoned again, I was told there was nothing that could be done, as I had already had the dishwasher repaired. I am very disappointed that our... More...

  • Inferior Glass stove top burns from underneath and severlely scratches

I purchased an LG Electric Range Mod: LRE30453ST. The glass top became severely burned and scratched. The glass burned from underneath leaving large burn spots. We even purchased recommended pots and pans to be used on the glass top and it still became scratched. The stove is inferior in design and material. • washer/dryer

I bought a washer'dryer from Home Depot earlier this year. I didn't notice at the time of delvery but the two machines were from a different dye lot. Subtle but true. The dryer cord is so skimpy that the machine was not placed where needed and sits in the wrong place. The machines are great and stacking does not cause vibration problems, but being an 80 yr old and even armed with a longer cord I can't move the machines.
