defect in refridgerator - refridgerator

ice builds up behind wall affecting the fan ,they fixed once and repairman told me that it should be covered from now on because it is a defect in manufacturing of fridge, LG sent out a repair kit for this model.\they keep telling me that the warranty has passed but they will do it as a courtesy ,I'm still waiting for a call as to when repairman is coming and every time I call I get the run around arguimg with them stating its not a warranty problem its a defect problem
